Iwe grinding. I have a 2016 F150 XLT FX4 with the 5.0 and I am experiencing the IWE noise that sounds like someone dropped a fork in the garbage disposal only during acceleration. It happens at various speeds and I am having a hard time diagnosing the real problem. I have replaced the check valve, solenoid and driver's side IWE.For the past couple of months my truck had been intermittently having a grinding noise/vibration in the front end. Generally low speed only, 15-25Mph. The noise/vibration would go away as soon as I shifted out of 2wd in to 4wd. Remove your battery and tray and you'll see a black box with a line going into it. Disconnect the line and remove the box. The box is made out of two pieces of plastic and can seperate. It's definitely not an issue with the pads / rotors etc; those are all new.
