Sep 19, 2022 · Tractor. John Deere 990. John Deere 990 ran out of diesel fuel. Coasted off a bank and tried to restart. Cranked briefly then refilled with fuel. Started but had to bleed. Ran rough and discovered 1st cylinder closest to dash is not firing. All other cylinders are firing good. Removed and cleaned injector for that cylinder. I am not sure if the 990 has a thermistor behind the fuse box but if that is bad it will cause starting issues with your hold-in fuel solenoid.
